CDC provides guidance, support, and evaluative services to organizations throughout the phases of their existence. We also facilitate the reform, healing, and transformation of organizations by observing, listening, communicating, formulating and supporting change for the people who work in them.

CDC brings together a diverse team of gifted and richly experienced people dedicated to service and excellence.  They are specialists in a variety of fields including organizational and community development, learning, assessment and evaluation, exhibitry, graphic design, marketing, and communications.

CDC E & D’s international client list includes non-profit organizations, schools, museums and other institutions, government agencies, and companies.

Recent projects have included strategic planning, front-end assessment, non-profit Board development, organizational development, project impact evaluation, and the formulation of institutional operating budgets.

Development

CDC E & D supports organizations across their life spans.  From start-ups to wind-ups, CDC provides a range of services that promote organizational and program-matic efficacy, efficiency, and wellbeing by:

  • performing macro as well as issue-specific assessments;
  • making recommendations for moving forward;
  • following through with implementation support;
  • facilitating the initial design or the reform of organizational structures and operations (including the development or revision of vision and mission statements); and
  • building and renewing structures and processes for organizational Boards and advisory groups.

Strategic Planning

CDC creates and implements strategic planning initiatives that 1) bring together diverse stakeholders, 2) educate regarding all aspects of organization or project development, 3) foster the construction and maintenance of a common vision and under-standing of their mission, and 4) engender high levels of commitment and enthusiasm for the organization and implementation of its strategic plan.

Strategic Alignment
Because CDC knows that Strategic or Institutional Plans should be in keeping projects and organi-zations aligned with their missions, strategic plans, goals, objectives, implementation plans, and timelines.  CDC engages organizations and institutions in longitudinal support projects that help organizations revise and reinvigorate their Plans by consistent monitoring of progress made and making revisions as necessary.
Strategic Problem-solving
When organizations get off-track, CDC often is called in to revitalize processes and facilitate realignments by listening to stakeholders, reviewing documents, facilitating communication between people, and formulating strategies and gaining acceptance for moving forward.
Evaluation
CDC E & D specializes in designing and conducting front-end, process, and summative assessments and evaluations. They use a variety of traditional and innovative quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. After the data are collected, they aggregate and analyze them. Subsequently, the data, analysis, and recommendations are transformed into clear, accurate and compelling reports prepared and presented in varied electronic, printed, and oral presentation formats. The power of CDC’s evaluation work—especially in the context of community development is due, at least in part, to the firm’s well-deserved reputation for effectively facilitating the involve-ment and self-empowerment of people who are marginalized and disenfranchised because of their economic/social class, race, ethnicity, language, sexual orientation, or gender.
Promoting Authentic Participation
Whether in assessment and evaluation, planning, or strategic alignment, CDC propels each process forward by initiating and maintaining cyclical reporting procedures that regularly document stakeholders opinions, ideas, plans, and agreements. The firm then feeds the documentation and analysis back to all stakeholders on a regular basis through written, electronic, and verbal communications.
