Dan’s educational background includes specializations in educational evaluation and policy analysis, special education for physically disabled students, South African, Latin American, and Meso-American studies, political science, comparative cultures & religions, world cuisines, choral direction, organ, piano and liturgical music.
Internationally, Dan also has had the opportunity to learn and more deeply understand commonalities and differences among people and cultures through his education work in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Cieloha is Founding Principal of CDC Evaluation & Development, an international learning and evaluation firm. In diverse fields including evaluation, formal and informal education, curriculum development, museum design, and organizational development and reform, CDC E & D serves a wide variety of private and public companies, organizations, and institutions. He is also President of the Partnership for Interactive Learning, one of
New England
’s leading non-profit organizations dedicated to the development of children’s social and thinking skills.
He has extensive practical experience in the fields of informal and formal education and youth development. He founded Richmond, California's Disabled People's Recreation Center as well as supervised in-school arts & academics programs serving some 2,300 elementary-age students.
Dan has been a classroom teacher for physically disabled preschool children, a teacher of English as a Second Language, and Resource Specialist for inner-city elementary schools.
